Arafa Trust was started by a group of eminent personalities from the various socio-economic, cultural and political fields at Muvattupuzha. The College since its perception has been striving hard to provide quality education for the poorest of the poor in the society at an affordable fee structure. The college today is an educational edifice of excellence with its most talented and experienced staff and state of the art infrastructure offering a variety of courses in Arts and Science at UG and PG levels. It is a matter of pride that many of our former students have secured good jobs in India and abroad.

Arafa College was founded in 2012 by Arafa Charitable Trust in Pezhakkappilly. The divine legacy left behind by the founders of this college and the rich heritage built by their successors has placed us on a high pedestal in the field of education and research. Now, Arafa is one of the foremost colleges in Ernakulam with over seven hundred and fifty students and over thirty five faculty members spread over nine UG and two PG programmes. (The establishment of Arafa Public School and prestigious Montessori school increased the adoration of our institution.) The college is managed by the governing body, “The Arafa College Managing Committee.”

The college is situated in Paipara Panchayath of Muvattupuzha taluk in the district of Ernakulam. The campus is located close to both Muvattupuzha and Perumbavoor City. It is easy to reach the campus from both near by cities Muvattupuzha & Perumbavoor. It is in Muvattupuzha-Perumbavoor (M.C Road).
